Join us this week as Rod takes us back into the Good and Beautiful God, this week talking about God is Love.
What is the false narrative that we are looking at today?
Here it is… “I need to perform/be good in order to have people and God Love me”
This narrative is a dominate narrative in us. Many of us live with the assumption that God’s love is conditional. James Bryan Smith in his book says that, “Our behaviour, determines how God feels about us. Consequently, God’s love is in a constant flux. It’s as if God were on a kind of swivel chair, looking at us and smiling when we keep our minds, hands and hearts pure but the moment we sin, God turns his back on us. And the only way to get God to turn back to us is to perform and be good.”
Can you relate to this narrative? Does it make you dizzy?
