LEAD NIGHT

Sunday 17th August 6.30pm with Tamsyn Cullingford

Topic: “What If Jesus Ran Your Calendar?”

If you’ve ever felt like your calendar is running your life, you’re not alone. As a CEO, wife, mum of two, part-time student and lifelong over-committer, I know what it’s like to want to serve wholeheartedly and lead faithfully - but to feel stretched too thin to do either with the presence and purpose that they deserve. In this session, I’ll share some of my own honest (and often humbling!) journey of learning to slow down - drawing on the wisdom of Dallas Willard, the example of Jesus, and the restful invitation He offers: “Come to me… and I will give you rest.” Together, we’ll explore how living at the pace of Jesus isn’t just good for the soul - it’s vital for anyone called to lead others in His name.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Tamsyn has often been referred to as an “extreme” extrovert and has a genuine heart for people and is deeply passionate about supporting those who are at risk or disadvantaged. She feels privileged to have the opportunity to work in a missional organisation where she can serve God, and the community, through the mission of “reflecting God’s love and presence.”

Driven to serve and help others, Tamsyn initially completed a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and worked as a physiotherapist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Here, through the witness of her colleagues and by God’s grace, she became a Christian. After taking a year off work to undertake a ministry internship at St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Tamsyn continued her career in health, focusing on service improvement, change management and culture. She went on to complete a Master of Business Administration and became a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and is currently studying a Master of Divinity at Trinity Theological College.

Tamsyn now serves as YouthCARE’s Chief Executive Officer, where she leads a team of over 500 staff and 1,100 volunteers, providing chaplaincy and Christian Values Education in more than 600 WA public schools. She also serves as a Board Member for Adult and Teen Challenge WA, and as Chair of the National School Chaplaincy Association (NSCA).

Tamsyn attends Providence Church with her husband, Daniel and their two wonderfully wild daughters, Mabel (7) and Molly (5).
